Mandatory credit: OSCE
The first day of the 31st Ministerial Council of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) kicks off in Valletta, Malta on Thursday, December 5.
Foreign ministers and senior officials from the 57 OSCE participating states will exchange views on security issues in the Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Asia areas, as well as the organisation’s work across all fields of activity.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to participate in the meeting. It will be his first European trip since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022.
