The upright sleep pods are designed with four support points for the head, buttocks, shins, and soles of the feet. Once these points are secured, the user can easily maintain a relaxed standing and sleeping posture.
"The concept of the Giraffe-nap is 'the best rest you can get while standing up', in short, Sleep well while standing". said Yoshihito Nohara ,Giraffenap CEO.
With an elevation switch, the arm pads and buttocks height can be adjusted to achieve a comfy position for users. The supported weight is up to 100 kg and the height limit is less than 2 meters.
"Yes, I had never slept in a vertical environment standing up like that before in my life, so it was a very new experience for me," one of the customers said.
Yoshihito mentioned that they often receive queries from nurses and doctors working in healthcare, as well as from businesses engaged in office work, especially in the financial sector where mistakes are not tolerated.
"It has been proven that taking a nap for about 20 minutes prevents you from falling into deep sleep, and sleeping perpendicular to gravity makes it more difficult to fall into deep sleep.
