Locals and tourists were seen enjoying Nali Fair at Wuxiang Lake Park in Nanning, Guangxi region on Sunday, following the easing of COVID-19 measures across the country.

"The Nali Fair is a cultural carrier that combines the culture of 12 ethnic groups in Guangxi, the urban culture of 14 cities, and Guangxi's intangible cultural heritage ethnic culture," explained the event’s founder, Zhao Yu.

Footage features stalls adorned with decorations, with people of all ages gathering and taking photographs, while aerial night shots show the illuminated spectacle.

"This fair is great. It is different from other fairs in that it has many national cultures, many intangible cultural heritage foods, and many artists. It is traditional and popular with young people," stated one visitor, Zhao Yalan.

Traditional Chinese fare such as clothing, art, handicrafts and food and drinks were on offer, with many taking the opportunity to visit following the removal of Coronavirus measures last month.

"After the opening up of COVID-19, people's voices were in full swing, which was a symbol of the country's prosperity and strength," said Nali Fair participant, Li Enping.

This year’s fair took place between December 30, 2022, and January 2, 2023.
