Dozens of anti-government protesters gathered by Hong Kong's Tsim Sha Tsiu shopping mall on Sunday despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Riot police could be seen arriving at the scene and trying to disperse protesters, with at least one arrest being made.

Demonstrators were holding banners and chanting slogans such as "Free Hong Kong," "Time of Revolution," "Independent HK" and "Disband police immediately."

Last year, Hong Kong saw the largest protest movement in its history, which started with opposition to a now-scrapped plan to allow extraditions to mainland China before evolving into an overall anti-government demonstration.

The protest movement united activists calling for more autonomy and an investigation into alleged police brutality, with demonstrations temporarily stopping at the beginning of 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
