England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley said the suspension of the encroachment rule during penalty shootouts will not bring any meaningful changes to her game during a press conference in Le Havre on Wednesday.

"We are all very much aware of what's happened in the previous games and where that we can't really move forward off the goal line and to keep one foot on, so we are not really changing anything. We're just kind of more aware of the rule. So we're just practising as normal, really," she said.

At first, FIFA established the rule that goalkeepers could not step off the goal-line during penalties at risk of receiving a yellow-card.

However, the rule was suspended during penalty shootouts, meaning that goalkeepers can only be booked at the tournament for stepping off the line with both feet during a penalty kick in normal time.

Commenting on his side's upcoming quarter-final clash against Norway on Thursday, England coach Phil Neville said it will be a very difficult game.

"I think if you were picking a quarter final opponent, this is the one that would be probably the most difficult one because they are a dangerous team. They are counter-attacking team with lots and lots of quality on the counter-attack, speed on the counter-attack," he said.

Neville added that defenders Steph Houghton and Millie Bright may be unavailable for the clash.
