Footage shows the diplomat breaking into a jog as he was pursued by the group of students.

Owcza later stated that 'peaceful protest & dialogue always has its place' but that 'we regret that today’s meeting of EU Heads of Missions at the National Museum in Birzeit was unduly interrupted by protesters'.
Germany is the second largest weapons supplier to Israel after the US between 2019 and 2023, sending around 30 percent of all the country's military supplies.
The incident came the same day that the International Court of Justice decided against imposing 'provisional measures' on Germany in the case brought by Nicaragua over arms exports to Israel.
Nicaragua accused Germany of 'facilitating genocide' in Gaza, which Berlin described as 'unfounded'. Israel, which is not a party to the case, has strongly denied the central allegation of 'genocide'.
