Protesters took to the streets of Tehran on Friday to express their support for Iran's partial withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal, also known as JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).

"The only way is to withdraw from the JCPOA. The JCPOA has not had any benefits, just absolute and heavy damages that destroyed our country’s infrastructure," one protester said.

"It has become clear for all nations throughout the world that the US and the Western world are not committed to their obligations," protester Habib Golmohamadi said.

"The US and Europe are completely untrustworthy. So we have a suggestion for our government which is to stick to the position they announced and not change it," another protester said.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced Iran's partial withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal during a televised address from Tehran on Wednesday.

Rouhani also set a 60-day deadline for the remaining deal signatories to come up with new terms to salvage the deal.

The announcement came on the anniversary of US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw America from the deal.
