Artist Rainer Opolka installed several ‘bronze warriors’ - wolves wearing blindfolds and blond wigs - in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin on Wednesday. The aim is to send US President Donald Trump a message to depart the White House as per the rules governing the election of a new president.

The sculptures, which weigh around 253 kilograms and are 1.6 metres in height are made out of metal. They are installed close to the US Embassy. Their blond wigs are an apparent nod to the president’s own hairstyle.

The artist, speaking as Germany entered a stricter COVID-19 lockdown on Wednesday, explained, “you see here the warrior, blind, they are aggressive and I would like to ask Mr Trump in your behaviour don't you think you behave like a blind warrior."

He added, "Trump himself said about himself, he is a deal maker, a great deal maker, and I will offer him a deal" saying if Trump attends the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Joe Biden he will send him 10 of his sculptures.
