England's national women's team coach Phil Neville criticized the conduct of US team officials after they went to the English team's hotel ahead of their match, while speaking to the press in Lyon on Sunday.

"It's not something we'd do, send somebody around to another team's hotel. But it's their problem. I'm sure that Jill probably wouldn't have been happy with that arrangement. I wouldn't have been," Neville said, and added "it's not an unfair advantage, actually, it'll have no bearing on the game. I actually found it quite funny, I just thought, what are they doing?' It's not ethical really, is it?

Neville also commented about American footballer Megan Rapinoe's pledge to skip any visit by the national team to the White House after the World Cup, saying that "I would never get involved in any political issues, I'm a football manager, don't know anything about politics."

England will face defending champions United States at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon, France on July 2.
