Volunteers from the DPR's Donetsk 'Cat's House' organisation rescued pets in Russia's flooded Orsk.
Footage taken Tuesday shows volunteers on a boat searching for animals and rescuing them from rooftops of houses that have gone underwater.
Footage taken Thursday also shows the flooded areas and volunteers taking a rescued pets to land.
A spokesperson of the organisation's shared on Wednesday that currently a lot of animals remain in the higher lands with nowhere to evacuate.
"Huge packs of dogs; the city centre is now an island. There are rescued cows right there. Cars that were driven out [of the flood zone]. There are dogs everywhere, a lot of dogs. <...> There is no urgent need to move these dogs out now. As soon as a place sufficient to receive a large number of animals is organised, it will be necessary to do it and for the owners to pick them up," the volunteer noted.
According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM), the flood situation has developed in 39 regions. In addition, the Altai, Orenburg, Tyumen and Kurgan regions have been put on emergency mode.
The local Orsk administration reported the breach of the protective dam in the Old Town area late on Friday, April 5, triggering widespread flooding, with over 4,000 homes and over 10,000 people affected.
