One of the volunteers, Yevgeny Radchenko, said that he has always wanted to become a contractor, as he already had combat experience.
"I always wanted to become a contract serviceman. I had already served, and it was comfortable for me to serve. And now, I was also motivated by the payments, the state support. Also, the situation in the world, the situation in the special operation zone. I wanted to help the Motherland taking the real action," - added Radchenko.
Andrey Gildebrand, the Acting Head of the recruitment point in Kaliningrad, said that the campaign went well resulting in the increasing number of people joining the army.

According to one of the volunteers, Nikolai Shlyakhtan, to defend Motherland is a sacred duty of every citizen.
"It is a sacred duty of a man to stand up for his land, his relatives, his state. I just can't remain indifferent, especially since I have already served before," - the man explained.
Head of the recruitment point in Simferopol, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Kashtanov, claimed that the work is on 'almost 24/7'.
"Future contractors go through a minimum number of procedure requirements. They include a medical examination, professional and psychological selection procedure, special training standards and paperwork," - clarified Kashtanov.
Moscow launched a military offensive in Ukraine in late February 2022 after recognising the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), claiming that Kiev had failed to guarantee their special status under the 2014 Minsk Agreements, and urging Ukraine to declare itself officially neutral and give assurances that it would never join NATO.
