Jaentschke noted Lavrov's busy evening schedule.
"Yes, there are a few more meetings, but we like to meet friends in the evening too. The evening has already started and now we only have our friends with us," the Russian foreign minister replied.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's press service said the sides praised their joint works in the international arena to protect the principles of international law and expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations.
Lavrov arrived in New York on Wednesday to take part in events at the UN General Assembly. The minister is also scheduled to attend several bilateral and multilateral meetings, including those of the CSTO, BRICS, G20 and the Group of Friends in the Defence of the Charter of the UN.
