"We have come because the planet is basically melting, and we have to defend it and take care of it and try not to destroy it as we have been doing so far," said an activist of Amnesty international Sara on the global day of action.
"We need a deeper change at the social level, something that implies a change in both our energy model and our economic model," said an activist of Scientific rebellion Sergio.
According to reports, the core goals of the climate activists included tackling the energy crisis and reducing dependence on environmentally harmful fossil fuels.
