Four ships, including two Saudi Arabian oil tankers, were reportedly damaged in the Persian Gulf, east of the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, on Sunday, in what Saudi officials have characterised as a "sabotage attack."

Footage shot on Monday shows the vessels reported to have been targeted which include two Saudi oil tankers, the Amjad and the Al Marzoqah, as well as the Norwegian registered oil tanker the Andrea Victory, and the UAE registered fuel bunker barge A Michel.

While there have been no reports of casualties or oil leaks, the damage to the vessels is reportedly significant.

Last week the US issued a warning to maritime traffic and the UAE's allies operating from the strategic port of Fujairah through which most Gulf oil exports pass, over possible attacks by Iran on shipping and infrastructure in the region.
