Opposition supporters demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan gathered for a protest near the parliament building in Yerevan on Tuesday.

Participants in the demonstration can be heard chanting slogans such as: "Nikol is a betrayal" and "Nikol, go away!".

Local media reports suggest that the police started to arrive at the scene as scuffles and fights were recorded during the protest.

Anti-Pashinyan protests originally began in November 2020 after the Armenian Prime Minister signed the Russian-brokered deal to end the fighting between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Under the terms of the trilateral agreement, a number of Nagorno-Karabakh districts have officially handed control over to Azerbaijan.
