Firefighters responded to the blaze engulfing the Notre Dame cathedral in footage filmed in Paris on Monday.

Firefighters could be seen tackling the flames in the scaffolding of the building, where renovation works were taking place.

No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
