Thousands of Liverpool fans flocked to the city of Porto to see their side in Champions League quarter-final action on Wednesday.

The Scousers gathered in the city centre, sang songs and drank beer ahead of the clash against FC Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.

“Porto ought to be really good and fast and proud. I think they're going to be a lot harder opponent than last year but I do expect us to prevail," said Sonny, an LFC fan.

Liverpool hold a commanding 2-0 lead from their home fixture, meaning if they score just once then Porto will have to score at least four goals to stand any chance of progressing.

The winner of the clash, which kicks off at 19:00GMT, will face Barcelona in the semi-finals after they thrashed Manchester United 4-0 on aggregate.

In Wednesday's other fixture, Manchester City will host Tottenham Hotspur in a bid to overturn the 1-0 deficit they suffered in London.
