Porto fans gathered in central Liverpool on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Jurgen Klopp's men.

"Let's hope that we are going to win. But it's tough to say with Liverpool playing at home, but yeah, Porto, you know, will give it a good crack," said one fan ahead of the game.

Police escorted the fans through Stanley Park to Anfield, the stadium where the match was due to kick off at 20:00 GMT.

First half goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino secured a 2-0 for Liverpool.

The loss means Porto have it all to do, albeit at home, when Liverpool travel to Portugal on April 17.

The overall winners will face either Manchester United or Barcelona, who play each other at Old Trafford at 20:00 GMT on Wednesday.
