A group of biker organisations and self-declared patriot groups from several US states, held a rally in Washington DC on Saturday to show their support for US President Donald Trump and to protest the results of the recent election.

Members of the groups expressed the idea that the US is under attack by Democrats who they believe intend to take away constitutional freedoms.

"Our constitutional rights are being attacked, the rule of law is being attacked, free speech is being attacked," said President of National Bikers for Trump Ronald 'Caspier' Pittman, without citing specific examples. Pittman added that in order to protect the perceived threat to the constitution "we're willing to go to war. If that means dying, we're willing to die to do it."

The event was one of several planned across the US by Trump supporters under the 'Stop the Steal' banner, with protesters alleging that the Democrats had stolen the election from the Republicans via fraud, although this has not been substantiated.

On Thursday, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger confirmed that a hand recount was completed in the state and that Democratic candidate Joe Biden was the winner of Georgia's 16 electoral college votes with a margin of more than 12,000 votes, with no evidence being found of fraud or wrong doing.

Trump has refused to concede to Biden so far, with his campaign launching legal challenges in several states, although many of these have already been thrown out of court due to a lack of evidence.
