٠٠:٠٧:٣٧Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitri Peskov warned that Russian military forces would take measures against any American planes flying over Russian territory and will do everything to make them 'burn and crash', speaking on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival on Wednesday.
"The US is at war against us. It's at war. US tanks are driving on Russian territory. That's not good. They don't just drive, they drive up to a point, and then they burn. Because we're destroying them. And we will continue to destroy them. And if American planes fly over our territory, I have no doubt that our valiant military will also make those planes burn and crash," Peskov noted.
The Kremlin speaker stressed that Russia will not tolerate criticism of its democracy, but will continue to work to improve it.
"We will continue to live in an open country, we will be friends with our partners. We will develop our relations in all possible areas with the vast majority of countries of this world. And we will wait for the minority of countries of this world to come to their senses and to join the majority that want normal relations. We have the patience for that. We are open to everybody," Peskov said.
The World Youth Festival takes place on March 1-7. According to the organisers, it intends to develop international youth cooperation and bring together 20,000 young people. The regional programme will take place on March 10-17, during which the participants will visit 30 Russian cities.
