Thousands of protesters rallied outside the Constitutional Court against the verification of the legitimacy of the Shor party and its possible ban, in Chisinau on Monday.
Footage features rally participants holding anti-government placards and signs as well as chanting slogans such as 'Down with dictatorship', 'We will not retreat', and 'One for all and all for one', among others.
"[They] won't close [the Shor party] because we will protest until we win and they won't close," one of the protesters said.
According to Member of Parliament Regina Apostolova, on Monday, the party's lawyers 'presented all the documents and evidence confirming that the allegations against Shor are unfounded'.
At the time of publication, there was no official information from the Moldovan Ministry of Internal Affairs on the detentions.
On 10 May, the Moldovan Constitutional Court, at the Government's request, began a constitutional review of the activities of the Shor party. The fourth hearing in the case was held on Monday.
