NATO leaders gather in Washington DC, for the second day of the alliance's 75th anniversary summit on Wednesday, July 10.

Over three days, the 32 NATO allies will focus on key topics including deterrence and defence, support for Ukraine, and strengthening global partnerships.

According to media reports, Kiev is set to be told it is 'too corrupt' to join at this stage, while Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's multi-year funding plan, seen as a way to negate the impact of a Trump presidency, also faces opposition.

NATO's founding treaty was signed in the US capital in April 1949, with 12 member countries.
