Live from the Temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade on Tuesday, January 7 as hundreds attend the Christmas morning Divine Liturgy led by Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Porfirije.
The Serbian Orthodox Church, like other Orthodox denominations, uses the Julian calendar which is 13 days behind the Gregorian.
Serbian Christmas traditions also include the cutting of the Badnjak (oak branch) on Christmas Eve and strict fasting ahead of Christmas Day.
