Epiphany ice bathing takes place in the Izmailovsky Kremlin in Moscow on Saturday and Sunday night, January 18-19.

In Russia, epiphany falls on January 19, marking the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan.

People across the country traditionally take a dip in ice holes at reservoirs, as well as in special baths set up in cities and towns, while baptisms, dancing and other festivities also take place.
