Members of the European Parliament hold a plenary session to discuss the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal in Strasbourg on Monday, January 20.
The agreement, aimed at halting the fighting in Gaza and ensuring the release of hostages and prisoners, came into effect on Sunday.
The first phase of the 42-day plan includes the release of 33 Israeli hostages - women, children, the elderly, and wounded people - in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. Second and third stages would include the return of bodies, IDF withdrawal and reconstruction.
