A partial solar eclipse takes place in Paris, with the maximum eclipse predicted at 11:02 GMT, on Saturday March 29.
The event is visible across Europe, northern Asia, North and West Africa, much of North America, northern South America, the Atlantic, and the Arctic.
During this phenomenon, the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, partially obscuring the Sun. It marks part of eclipse season, a period that happens roughly every six months, during which two or three eclipses occur within about 35 days.
Solar and lunar eclipses always take place around two weeks apart.
