Description

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told the Security Council during the virtual briefing, that time to resolve the Libyan crisis was running out, New York City, Wednesday.

"Time is not on our side in Libya. The conflict has entered a new phase with foreign interference reaching unprecedented levels, including in the delivery of sophisticated equipment and the number of mercenaries involved in the fighting," he stressed.

US Representative, Kelly Craft added, "there is no place for foreign mercenaries or proxy forces in Libya," mentioning "evidence" of "Russian government proxies fighting alongside and in support of" the Libyan National Army (LNA) forces led by Khalifa Haftar forces.
