Description

US President Donald Trump blamed protesters who he said had "violently attacked" Kenosha shooting suspect Kyle Rittenhouse while speaking at a White House press briefing in Washington DC on Monday.

Speaking to the press Trump turned down the opportunity to condemn Rittenhouse who allegedly shot and killed two protesters and seriously injured a third one during a protest against police violence in Kenosha.

Trump said, "I guess he was in very big trouble. He would have been, he probably would have been killed."

Rittenhouse faces charges of intentional and reckless homicide. His extradition hearing from Illinois, where he was arrested, to Wisconsin was delayed until September 25.
