Biden's motorcade could be seen driving down a road and through security checks set up by police. Some locals waved as the motorcade passed by and took pictures.

"My children went to school with Joe Biden's kids and so we've been watching him very closely for a long, long time and are so happy that he is going to be in the White House," said a local resident of the area where Biden resides.

The 78-year-old Democrat is set to be inaugurated as the new US President in Washington DC replacing his predecessor Donald Trump who was elected in 2016.
