Soldiers fighting for the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) celebrated the ninth anniversary of February 17 uprising, near the Wadi Rabie front line in southern Tripoli on Monday.
Footage shows soldiers chanting, cheering and grilling meat as they commemorated the 2011 uprising that toppled former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
"We started the war in 2011 and we got rid of the dictator Muammar Gaddafi and now he has been replaced by another dictator who's more dangerous than him," said a Libyan soldier referring to the leader of Libyan National Army (LNA) commander Khalifa Haftar.
This year's celebration comes as the GNA is facing an offensive by the LNA, which controls much of country's east and parts of the south. Tripoli has been under siege since last year, as both parties battle it out for control of Libya.
