US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said her campaign has 'momentum' during her campaign rally in Lansing on Sunday, just two days before the presidential elections.

"Our campaign is tapping into the ambitions, the aspirations, and the dreams of the American people because we are optimistic and excited about what we can do together," she stated.

Michigan, which has a large Arab-American community, has seen protests at her rallies over her stance on Gaza. The VP promised she would "do everything in my power to end the war in Gaza, to bring home the hostages, end the suffering in Gaza, ensure Israel is secure, and ensure the Palestinian people can realise their right to dignity, freedom, security, and self-determination."

Harris also pledged to reform healthcare and lower costs, declaring that medical care "should be a right and not just a privilege of those who can afford it."

Harris' event at East Lansing also wrapped up her tour in Michigan, having previously hosted three rallies across the swing state on Sunday. Her Republican opponent, former president Donald Trump, made his stops at three other battleground states over the same day in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Harris and Trump face off in the US presidential elections on Tuesday, November 5. Over 78 million voters have cast their ballots as of Sunday, according to local polls, with both candidates polling closely in the seven key swing states - Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada - set to decide the race.
