Description

Joe Biden's motorcade was seen in Washington DC on Tuesday afternoon heading to the Lincoln Memorial, where the president-elect and Kamala Harris held a tribute to COVID-19 victims, as he prepares to take the oath of the presidential office.

Biden flew into a military airbase just outside the US capital and then motorcaded into Downtown DC.

Military troops were also seen deployed to the Blair House before the president-elect arrived. The Blair House is the guest 19th-century residence across the street from the White House where traditionally presidents-elect stay before being inaugurated.

Footage also shows the motorcade leaving the premises after dropping Joe Biden off.

President-elect Biden inauguration will take place on Wednesday with multiple restrictions due to the ongoing COVID pandemic and heavy security. The traditional luncheon was cancelled and people are discouraged from travelling to DC for the ceremony.
