Footage shows the pair walking on stage, posing on the weighing scale and facing off amid a cheering crowd. Footage also shows Australia's Steve Erceg and New Zealand's Kai Kara-France on stage for their weigh-in face off.

The official weigh-in saw South Africa's Du Plessis tip the scales at 185 pounds (83,9 kg), while Nigerian New Zealander Adesanya came in just under at 184 pounds (83,4 kg), both within the middleweight limit.

In addition to the widely anticipated Du Plessis and Adesanya fight, other main bouts are Kara-France vs Erceg, Mateusz Gamrot vs Dan Hooker and Tai Tuivasa vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

UFC 305 is scheduled to take place at the RAC Arena in Perth on August 17 local time, with the main bout set for 02:00 GMT on Sunday morning.
