Dozens of visitors come to experience an eco-friendly winter wonderland at Al Wasl Plaza, as footage taken in Dubai on Friday shows.
Guests of Winter City could be seen watching Christmas tree illuminations, meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, taking photos with them, and enjoying a Christmas performance with songs and dances.
"All of the activations that we have, including the workshops, F&B, roving entertainment, Christmas tree locations, and our Carols by Candlelight show, are in the middle of Al Wasl Plaza," said Creative Director and Events and Entertainment Management at Expo City Dubai Dalia Kattan.
She added organisers aimed to engage kids and families into learning the sustainability issues following COP28, as well as 'inviting guests to join Opti and Santa on their quest to save the North Pole'.
"Winter City is open every day from 3pm to 11pm. Tickets are starting from 20 AED, and that includes all the workshops and activations that happen inside," organiser concluded.
The COP28 summit took place in Expo City, Dubai, on November 30 - December 12. During the conference, delegates evaluated international progress in combating climate change since the 2015 Paris Agreement and discussed the future of fossil fuel usage.
Winter City at Expo City Dubai will remain open until January 14.
