"The mobile clinic was set up by Premiere Urgence on April 9. Since that day and up to today, we were able to do checkups on more than 5,000 patients. Among those 5,000, there are children and pregnant women. We reported more than 200 children on our malnutrition program and more than 210 pregnant women," Project manager for emergency response to Sudanese refugees Dr Mahamat Nour confirmed.
Following the unfolding situation in Sudan's Khartoum, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees expects more than 800,000 people will move within the country or to neighbouring states such as Egypt or Chad.
