Dancing robots and the world's first gyroscope and AI-enabled smart Rubik's cube were showcased at the China Shantou International Toy and Gift expo in Guangdong on Friday.

Moyu Cube introduced its world's first 2X2 gyroscope smart AI cube, implanted with Bluetooth chips, sensors and gyroscopes which can be connected to mobile devices to help users train their brains.

"Through software and hardware upgrades, we have now made this Rubik's Cube smooth and better. This can also support the development of large-scale events and support the need for daily rapid rotation and solving," explained Yang Jiandong, the MoYu Cube Marketing Director.

During the fair, Guangdong Qunyu Interactive Technology showcased the Yingge synchronised dancing robots, featuring traditional dress and actions.

"Adding technology to traditional culture means that in this era of technology, children can start to like traditional culture, so we want to use technology to combine them, which is our original intention when developing this robot," Chen Ruifeng, the CEO of Guangdong Qunyu Interactive Technology Co. Ltd. stated.

Shantou, Guangdong province, is an internationally renowned base of toy and gift manufacturing, with an estimated 60 per cent of children worldwide having played with toys produced there. Expected transactions during the event stand at a record 12 billion yuan ($1.68 billion). The expo at Shantou Exhibition Center covers a floor space of 50,000 square meters and runs until October 27.
