Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri-Kani made a public statement after meeting with negotiators in Vienna on Monday, to discuss the lifting of sanctions on Iran as well as the restoring of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
"The important point at this meeting of the Joint Commission was that the representatives of different countries in this meeting emphasized the importance and priority of addressing the issue of lifting sanctions, as well as the issue of verification and guarantees," said Bagheri.
Bagheri also stated that good progress had been made, and that 'a good framework had been provided for advancing the talks.'
Talks have been ongoing to revive the Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) which the Donald Trump administration left in 2018.
