Description

A man from Iraq stranded at Belarus' border with Poland spoke about his future plans, from Bruzgi on Friday, saying he intended to head to Germany if at all possible.

"Here is very good, because you have, all people here you have security, you have food you have everything, just this little problem about charging our phones. You know it's very good here. All people have security," said Farhad.

"The plan, if Germany accept people, I go to Germany. If you know, if it's possible to live in Belarus, I rest here. Because my life is dangerous in Iraq, I am not coming back to Iraq, it is very dangerous for me," he added.

Belarusian emergency services were seen providing hot drinks and supplies to groups of migrants gathered at the border, where they remain stranded for the time being as Poland restricts entry across its frontier with Belarus.
