Hundreds of Taylor Swift fans gathered in Vienna on Friday to sing her songs together, after the singer’s concerts in the city were cancelled due to the discovery of an alleged terror attack.

Footage shows the crowd of fans gathering, singing songs together, cheering, and exchanging bracelets.

"We met so many people, everyone from all around the world, from China, US, everyone, they're all trading bracelets and complimenting each other's outfits," said Nadine, a Taylor Swift fan from Austria.

Another fan from the US, Meg, shared that while the cancellation of the concert had been a blow, she was 'happy to be here' and that Swift's fans are 'trying to keep their spirits up'.

"I was really sad and I'm still sad, but I think the vibe here is just so great and I don't know, it's hard to be sad when everyone around you is so lovely and so happy," said Katrin, another fan of the US singer from Austria.

Organisers cancelled three sold-out dates in Vienna after officials reported arrests related to an alleged plot targetting her shows. Taylor Swift's Eras Tour was the highest-grossing tour in history, with performances across the US and Canada, Latin America, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
