Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, addressed key regional issues, emphasising Iran's stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, stating that 'in the Armenia and Azerbaijan regions [Caucasus], Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan,' during a large-scale military parade held on Friday in Tehran, marked the commemoration of the Sacred Defence Week in Iran.

During his speech, he also underscored the importance of respecting the rights and security of the Armenian people in the region and that 'the situation of the border should be preserved [no change in geopolitical border should happen].'

Footage reveals a military parade prominently displaying a wide range of military assets, with a focus on missiles and a diverse array of drones. Notably, foreign military officials were observed participating in this military event.

"The armed forces and their equipment create deterrent power. Deterrent power against any idea which elaborates on aggression to this country. As you see, because of the strength of the armed forces and the support of the people, there is no speech regarding aggression and attack on Iran," stated President Raisi highlighting the importance of Iran's armed forces.

The Iranian President also expressed strong opposition to the normalisation of ties with Israel, warning that such actions would not ensure security for the 'Zionist regime.'

"The normalisation of ties with the Zionist regime by no means will provide security to it. Because all the regional nations, Muslims, and all the states hate the Zionist regime nowadays. If any regional states think that normalization of ties [with Israel] will normalize ties for real, it won't be like that. This is a stab in the back of Palestinian people's resistance," he confirmed.

Iran's Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, also addressed media outlets, emphasising the importance of diplomatic efforts and cooperation with neighbouring countries.

"Our armed forces are present in the scene in their strongest version. Also, we are shaking friendship, brotherhood, and military cooperation with our neighbours. We have active diplomacy with regional countries. Foes do not have any place in the region. All this strength is in the service of providing peace and security in the region," he stated.
