Lebanese flags waved at half-mast on Wednesday in Beirut commemorating the victims of Beirut port blast on the tragic anniversary of the deadly explosion.

According to reports, the flags were lowered at public administrations, institutions and municipalities, whereas public administrations, public institutions and municipalities were closed in memory of the deceased.

On August 4 2020, a massive explosion at Beirut's port devastated much of the Lebanese capital, claiming 220 lives and injuring 6,500. Some 300,000 people were displaced from their homes.
