Sunnis and Shiites gathered at Ayos Centre, in Cameroon's Bamoun region on Wednesday to celebrate the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Footage shows people dressed up in festive clothes, celebrating Eid al-Fitr, and listening to a solemn speech by a local leader who thanked everyone present.
"I thank the entire community who accompanied me in the prayer at the end of the Ramadan fast and I beg Allah to accept our prayer," Sultan Nabil Mbombo Njoya, King of Bamoun, said from the podium.
What makes the celebration in Bamoun special is that many tourists have the opportunity to participate in the prayer and other activities of the festival.
"I was amazed by this celebration of Ramadan and the end of festive celebration between them," said Michele, one of the tourists who participated in the celebrations.
Eid al-Fitr comes at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and is one of the main religious holidays of Islam.
