Description

The Hong Kong Cat Expo attracted crowds of feline aficionados and their furry friends on Sunday, offering an unforgettable experience for cat lovers.

This year's event set a new record, boasting 200 exhibitors and occupying 410 booths.

Attendees were treated to a wide array of cat-related products, engaging activities, and thrilling entertainment, highlighted by the International Cat Show, where talented felines from around the world showcased their beauty and skills.

"I personally like short-tailed cats. I can show you. It only has one tiny tail and this breed is relatively small, in other words, this breed very suitable for raising in a small environment like Hong Kong," Maggie, a cat owner who bought her Toybob cat breed to the show, said.

This year's expo spotlighted innovative brands from Japan, Korea, and Malaysia, delighting attendees with unique and creative cat products.

A standout event was the CFA Summer Champion Cat Show, featuring ten-ring competitions where felines vied for top honours in various categories.

"It's really exciting to see the number of people that are in here watching and learning about pure red cats, because they're kind of overlooked. Everybody knows the dog breeds, but they don't know the cat breeds. So this whole expo is fabulous," Anne Mathis, one of the judges of the cat competition said.

The expo also offered an array of special activities, including the "Cultural Creative Art Zone," a "Must-Visit Selfie Spot" featuring a giant "Foodie Cat," and an exclusive display titled "Gloomie & 12 Chinese Zodiac," ensuring that there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The event took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre over three consecutive days.
