Hamas rockets were seen flying over Gaza on Monday, after the group's military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, announced that it had targeted Tel Aviv on the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks.

Footage shows missiles flying over Gaza. The group claimed they were ''Maqadmeh M-90 rockets' and that its fighters had also engaged in "clashes with Israeli army in the Jabalia refugee camp".

The Israeli military reported that several projectiles were fired from Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip towards the centre of Israel and adjacent towns - and said it had responded with strikes on rocket launchers in the enclave.

Pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel rallies took place around the world ahead of the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks on southern Israel, and the start of the Gaza war.

Around 1,139 Israelis, mostly civilians, were killed in the initial assault, according to Israel - and around 200 taken hostage - while the ensuing Gaza conflict has led to nearly 42,000 deaths according to the Palestinian side.
