A throng of reporters could be seen jostling at the doorway as security personnel told them to get back.
Only a limited number of journalists were allowed into the library hall of Villa La Grange because of the throng next to the entrance.
Reporters, camera operators, and photographers crammed together as they tried to get closer to the doors.
Some of them managed to enter the hall but after staying inside for a short time, they were returned to the street. Security then closed the doors.
After that security measures at the building were tightened and the talks between two presidents continued.
The summit between Putin and Biden lasted around three and a half hours. The politicians discussed a wide range of topics, including the state and prospects for the further development of Russian-American relations, the fight against the pandemic, problems of strategic stability, and topical issues on the international agenda.
It was the first meeting between the pair since Biden took office. They met previously when Biden was serving as vice president in the Obama administration 10 years ago.
