An 11-year-old Chinese skateboarder Zheng Haohao holding the position in the world's 22 top ranking list, was seen preparing for the Olympic Games 2024 competition after she qualified after the final contest in Budapest.

"During the first two rounds, I played it safe in the first round and didn't perform well in the second round. The third round was my only chance to qualify for the Olympics, so I decided to give it my all, and I made it. I was so happy at that moment. My mom was overjoyed and kept replaying the video on her phone all day," Haohao shared.

Footage captured in Lishui on Friday features the young skateboarder performing tricks at the ramp as well as communicating with her coach Danny.

"The greatest strength of Haohao, I would say, is her ability to learn quickly. She learnt quick. She practices something, and as soon she learns one, she's got it. And then she just sticks with it, and then it becomes easy and everyday thing," coach said.

Regarding the preparation of Haohao for the Olympics, Danny stressed that the trainings 'focus on the tricks she can do' and aim to 'push those and develop posing to other tricks'. "She's trusting me, and I know her limits. So I know where to push and where not to push."

"We're training, we're ready for next week, we're ready to go to the Olympics. And we are looking at the top-16, respectfully. If it works out, it works out, if it doesn't - it doesn't. If she does better, even better. For us, she's already achieved such an amazing fit already, so we're going there just to be there," coach Danny concluded.

The youngest athlete of the Olympic Games 2024 Zheng Haohao took the 13th spot of 60 during her first contest at the National Games of China in 2020. She also was ranked 20th in May during the Olympics' skateboarding qualification held in Shanghai in May and scored 20 points more in Budapest, according to media reports.

Haohao will take part in the qualifier series of park skateboard competition for women scheduled to start in Paris on August 6 at 12:30 local time (11:30 GMT) as well as the finals will start at 17:30 local time (16:30 GMT).

The first Olympic gold medal was won by the Chinese athletes Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao at the shooting contest in the 10-meter air rifle mixed team on Saturday morning.

The games take place from July 26 to August 11, with 329 events spanning 32 athletic disciplines. According to media reports, 405 Chinese athletes will take part in more than 20 disciplines.
