Supporters of Belgium and France gathered in Dusseldorf on Monday ahead of their EURO 2024 clash in the round of 16.
"The two teams are actually not playing good, not at their best. But we expect a big match and I hope the best team win. I have a little in my heart for Belgium. But I'm more supporting France. So Vive la France," a fan from Biarritz said.
"I think it's going to be a really difficult match because they got really good wings with Dembele and Mbappe and our defence is not that quick and their wings are really quick," a Belgium supporter said.
Footage shows fans of the respective teams gathering and celebrating in the city centre where designated public viewing areas have been set up.
Germany is hosting this year's UEFA EURO 2024 across ten venues, marking its first time hosting the tournament since reunification. The competition, featuring 24 teams initially grouped into six, concludes on July 14 with the knockout stage starting on June 29.
