We urge relevant countries to heed the voices of regional countries and correct mistakes as soon as possible."
The missile system was deployed from the US to the Philippines in April for a joint military exercise that ended in June. The reason for the deployment cessation was not provided.
Regarding the installation of the buoy near Japan's southern continental shelf in the Pacific Ocean, Mao Ning emphasised it was set up for 'hydrometeorological' purposes.
"Diaoyu island and its affiliated islands are China's inherent territory, and its surrounding waters are waters under China's jurisdiction. It is reasonable and legal for China to set up hydrometeorological observation buoys in relevant waters."
