"Today, we gather for a grand iftar programme. We are very happy to celebrate this great beautiful event and I wish a happy iftar for all Ethiopian Muslims," said one of the participants.

The street iftar was organised in collaboration with Halal Promotion and Nejashi Humanitarian Aid, as reported by the media. According to the organisers, the event is being held to promote unity, peace and solidarity.

The month of Ramadan, esteemed in the Islamic faith as a period of reverence and devotion, is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar.
