Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh spoke at a Tehran press conference on Monday and emphasised the need for negotiators taking part in the upcoming Vienna talks to attend the meetings with "serious will" to achieve a solution.
“We hope that the other parties, instead of creating media suspicions or some psychological operations as they think they may be able to take advantage of the situation they created near the beginning of the Vienna talks, should try to come to Vienna with a serious will with good intentions to reach a practical agreement on lifting the oppressive sanctions imposed on the Iranian people,” said Khatibzadeh.
“If they do not have this serious will or want to combine this serious will with non-constructive intentions, Iran will respond accordingly,” added Khatibzadeh.
Discussions around the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which the US abandoned in 2018, will be resumed on November 29.
